High attendance (96%) continues to be an important target for Bignold. As a parent, you are legally responsible for making sure your child attends school regularly.
Please make sure your child comes to school every day and is here for 8.50am ready to learn.

Green Attendance= Above 96%
Children who arrive at school on time everyday are prepared for learning and feel fully part of the school community.
If your child is at school 100% then they will be able to make the most of the opportunities available to them.
Children who attend above 90% are more likely to gain 5 or more GCSE's or equivalent qualifications.
Regular school attendance from the time a child starts learning at school/nursery is essential for successful learning.
Amber Attendance= 90-96%
Being late to school and taking holidays during term time can significantly impact on a child's chance to learn.
Every absence leads to a break in learning.
90% attendance = missing 19 days of school a year.
Missing time at school means your child has fewer opportunities to access all of the learning available.
Red Attendance= Below 90%
85% attendance and under means children are unlikely to gain A-C GCSE's or similar qualifications.
Poor school attendance will have a serious impact on your child's achievements and life choices.
Missing time at school can effect your child academically and socially.
10 minutes late every day means 50 minutes of lost learning a week. This is over 6 days of missed learning a year.
80% attendance over the whole 11 years a child should be at school learning will mean they miss over 2 years of education.
