To the children, parents, carers & community of Bignold Primary School,

I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you all ahead of me starting as your new Head of School on April 16th after the Easter Holidays.

My teaching career started in Stoke-on-Trent over fifteen years ago when I began volunteering at a local Primary School. Since then I have been a teacher (mainly in Year 6), a senior leader and a Headteacher at several different schools in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. The things about my job that I love include; working with children to help them achieve the best that they can, meeting their families and working with the local community and providing the children in my school with as many good quality, exciting learning experiences as I can.

I am very much a family man – my wife and I have four children. I would love to tell you that I have lots of exciting hobbies but, to tell the truth, my life out of school revolves around spending time with them. My family and I are moving to Norfolk from Stoke-on-Trent in Staffordshire. We have been coming over to your part of the country for many years now and we are incredibly excited to be finally making a permanent move.

On Monday 16th I will be out on the yard at Bignold so please come over and introduce yourselves; I am looking forward to getting to know you all better.

Best wishes,

Mr. C. Newman
